The Power of an Evergreen Concept

Six years ago, we pitched a campaign concept to SAP that used “then vs. now” to show how much better work life would be with SAP solutions in place. The campaign was so successful, we eventually created a total of more than 10 videos over the course of the next 18 months.

Earlier this year, a brand new group of SAP marketing staff ran across those six-year-old videos and wanted to do more. Just as happened six years ago, this new set of videos was so successful they decided to create even more.

Below are videos #16 and #17 in this ongoing and amazingly evergreen campaign. The stories capture the chaos of “then” compared with the efficiency and ease of “now”.

What makes this campaign so evergreen and so effective? Just the right amount of humor, focused on real pain points that the audience can relate to, juxtaposed with the obvious rewards of selecting SAP’s  outstanding solutions.

The videos get right to the point of what SAP’s solutions can do, and as a bonus, the clever approach reflects nicely on SAP as a company. Definitely the kind of videos that could easily end up being shared on a Slack or Teams channel. 

Both videos were shot in the space of two days at SAP’s Atlanta offices, where we worked hard to make a single workplace look like two different companies.
